  • Dietary Indiscretion: Eating garbage, spoiled food.
  • Gastrointestinal Issues: Infections, stomach ulcers.
  • Toxin Ingestion: Chocolate, toxic plants.
  • Food Allergies: Sensitivity to certain foods.
  • Serious Conditions: Parvovirus, pancreatitis.

Try these steps before heading to the vet if symptoms are mild.

  • Withhold food for 6-12 hours. Not for puppies or senior dogs.
  • Offer a bland diet (boiled chicken & rice)
  • Keep hydration levels up
  • Avoid fatty or spicy foods
  • Vomiting for more than 24 hours
  • Profuse vomiting (i.e. vomiting more than 4-5 times in 24 hours)
  • Blood in vomit
  • Loss of appetite for 12+ hours
  • Severe diarrhoea or lethargy
