Try these steps before heading to the vet if symptoms are mild.
- Withhold food for 6-12 hours. Not for puppies or senior dogs.
- Offer a bland diet (boiled chicken & rice)
- Keep hydration levels up
- Avoid fatty or spicy foods
When should you see a vet?
- Vomiting for more than 24 hours
- Profuse vomiting (i.e. vomiting more than 4-5 times in 24 hours)
- Blood in vomit
- Loss of appetite for 12+ hours
- Severe diarrhoea or lethargy
