Cat bite abscesses are rare in dogs. 

Dogs can get different types of abscesses; the most common are:

• Due to foreign bodies, such as grass seeds or sticks

• Anal gland abscess
• Tumours leading to secondary infection
• Bite Wounds from other animals, especially other dogs
• Abscess of the prostate gland
