Joii Pet Care Joii Pet Care is a mobile app and veterinary service providing 24/7, on-demand, virtual care for cats and dogs, often described as an "NHS 111 for pets". It offers video consultations with vets, a free symptom checker, and a strong focus on preventative care, and routine check-ins. Our vets can recommend treatments, arrange delivery, and provide specialist referrals where required. Because it’s so easy to speak to a vet, many owners reach out early when something doesn’t feel right. During consultations, vets guide customers over video to check key areas together and agree on the best next steps, helping provide reassurance and peace of mind. Who can use Joii?

To use Joii you need to be at least 18 years old. Live in the UK and have a valid email address to use. You need access to a smart phone or desktop/laptop to access the Joii Pet Care App.

What Pets Does Joii Help?

We currently offer our service to cats and dogs. We hope to expand this in the future to be able to help more animals like small furies, exotics and horses.

How do I download the Joii app?

The app is available to download for Free on iOS and Android. Simply search for "Joii Pet Care" and download it from the App Store or Google Play Store. You can also use our Web App: https://app.joiipetcare.com/

Who do I contact if I have any technical problems using Joii?

You can reach our support team Monday-Friday 9am-5pm on [email protected] . Please include as much details as possible regarding the problem you are facing, the device you are using and your registered email address. Please include any screenshots if possible.

Is Joii Pet Care covered by pet insurance?

We are pleased to partner with insurance providers such as:

-Purely Pets

-ASDA Money

-Waggel

Coverage may depend on your specific provider and policy so make sure to read your policy details. If you are not insured with one of our partners you can still use Joii 24/7. Calls and Chats are £28.

Are Joii Vets and Nurses qualified?

Yes. All of our Joii Vets and Nurses are fully qualified and Registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).

Can I use Joii in an emergency?

No. The Joii App must not be used in urgent, emergency, or life-threatening situations involving your pet.

If your pet is experiencing severe symptoms such as difficulty breathing, seizures, collapse, uncontrolled bleeding, suspected poisoning, trauma (e.g. road traffic accident), or any rapidly worsening condition, you should seek immediate in person veterinary care.

Contact your local emergency veterinary practice straight away or call your nearest 24-hour emergency vet. Do not wait for a response through the app if your pet needs urgent medical attention.

The Joii App is designed for non-urgent pet health concerns, routine advice, and general veterinary guidance.

Will my own vet know about my pet’s treatment through Joii?

Not automatically. Joii is independent. With your permission our Joii Vet team may request to share your history with your vet practice and vice versa. The sharing of history allows for better continuity of care for your pet and is recommended. This step will not take place without your expressed permission. Your treatment plans from Joii are always available in your Joii App should you need to show your local vet. 

 

Can a vet examine my pet online?

Yes, many examinations can be effectively carried out online. Last year we resolved over 70% of pet problems we saw online. 

To make the most of your examination. Before you call please make sure to check the following:

- Have your device charged

- Have a strong connected WIFI

- Have you notifications enabled in permissions of your device for Joii

- Have your pet with you

- Have good lighting.

- Do not use Joii whilst driving


How much are Joii consultations?

Registered Vet Nurse consultations are free, Vet consultations are £28. Specialist referrals for behaviour or wellbeing prices can vary as they are tailored to the level of help your pet may need. If referral for these is recommended our vet team will advise on costs before arranging the remote referral. 

Can I see the same Joii vet each time?

This is not always possible, however, all of our Joii vets have access to your pets medical record and will be able to pick up where a previous vet may have left off. 

Can Joii do house visits?

No, Joii is an online service only. Available through the Joii Pet Care App

Joii Pet Shop

Do you sell Vet Exclusive ranges?

Yes. We are authorised by VMD and RCVS, to sell vet exclusive products. Whether prescription, over-the-counter or sold by practices. These go under 3 different labels.

"No Prescription Required" products (NFA-VPS / OTC):
These are Over-The-Counter, meaning a prescription is not required, however this doesn't mean it is necessarily safe for your pet. As such a qualified vet is required to review your order.

When adding to basket, you will be prompted to confirm your pet's details with us. A vet will review everything to ensure it's suitable for your pet. We will be in touch with alternatives if necessary.

"Prescription Item" products (POM-V):
Requires uploading a prescription from a certified vet. These may also be provided from our Joii vets during a consultation.

Other "Vet Exclusive" products such as those sold in practice, are accessible to you following a consultation with one of our vets. This is free if you are with one of our pet insurance partners.

Delivery Times

Our cut-off is generally at 12pm. We despatch Monday to
Friday with 1-2 days delivery as standard. Tracking is always provided.
Please reach out to Customer Care if you haven't received it.

Prescription Medicine is usually despatched on both weekdays and weekends at no extra cost.
