Emergency Symptoms

At Joii our qualified vets are able to help you understand more about your pet's symptoms, however, if your pet is experiencing emergency symptoms we strongly advise you to contact your local vet or out of hours vet service and book in an emergency appointment.

Here is a list of the most common emergency symptoms:

  • Bloated, swollen or painful abdomen
  • Difficulty breathing, choking or gagging
  • Obvious pain
  • Uncontrollable bleeding
  • Unconsciousness
  • Seizures
  • Trauma
  • Collapse or inability to walk
  • Repeated vomiting or diarrhoea
  • Straining to urinate
  • Poisoning or indiscrete ingestion
  • Birthing issues
  • Neurological problems such as staggering, stumbling or loss of balance
  • Eye problems
