This diet is ideal for pets suffering from anorexia, cachexia, weight loss, debility, malnutrition, and those in convalescence. It is also suitable for cats with hepatic lipidosis (non-encephalopathic), pets with hypermetabolic states, hypoglycaemia, insulinoma, and for pre- and post-operative nutritional support, as well as for tube and syringe feeding. Other indications include diabetes in underweight dogs, impaired GI motility leading to constipation, oesophageal disorders, most forms of neoplasia, acute or chronic gastritis, and protein losing enteropathy (PLE) without lymphangiectasia in dogs.
